Being a woman was not exactly an advantage to be respected as a photographer. The police didn´t put things simple at the time of going to the scenes of the murders for being a woman, but she did not stop in her attempt to make a name for herselve in the world of photography and be respected for her work.

“I LEARNED TO LIVE WITH THE FEAR THAT I WILL BE KILLED. THEY HAVE BROKEN ME CAMERAS, SPIDED ME, INSULTED AND SENT ANONYMOUS LETTERS THREATENING DEATH. BEING A LITTLE CRAZY HELPS YOU TO BE BRAVE AND I SEE THAT I AM VERY BRAVE.”
